Rationale:

The course focuses mostly on the reading and writing skills of students. It also exposes students to a holistic communicative environment in the classes where all the four skills of language learning – listening, speaking, reading and writing – are simultaneously taught to improve their language proficiencies.

 Objective:

The aim of this course is to refine freshmen students’ ability to communicate effectively in English in academic, professional and everyday life.

 Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Understand and use a variety of English expressions related to their academic and everyday lives by participating in routine conversations, writing dialogs and fulfilling a variety of language functions
